  • From Theodore Genis at 12/30/10 2:19 PM

    • Hi Theodore, yes, if the digital phone has a curly handset cord, then it will work. It includes a handset adapter that can be used to connect the recorder to the phone's handset cord.

  • From Carol at 1/11/11 12:29 PM
    • Will this recorder work on any phone line system within the home? (as long as there is a jack)
    • Hi Carol, yes, you can connect the recorder to any active wall jack in the house. Then it can be set to record phone calls from any telephone in the house, no matter what jack the telephone being used is plugged into. (Because the telephone recorder is connected directly into the line and not connected to any particular phone.)

  • From Alex at 1/22/11 5:08 PM
    • How do I know if I have an analog telephone service ??
    • Hi Alex, if you get just regular old standard phone service from your local phone company and you don't also get your internet service through your phone company, then you probably have analog telephone service. (If you also get your internet through your phone company, you may have DSL service and would just need to use a DSL filter and the recorder would work.) It's best if you just call your phone company and ask them.

  • From Matt at 1/25/11 10:09 AM
    • will this work for dsl or voip?
    • Hi Matt, yes, it will work for both. If you have DSL, then you do need to be sure to have a DSL filter installed on the phone line you're using to connect the recorder with. If you have VOIP, and you have an (ATA) analog adapter (device which allows you to plug your regular phones in) then it will work.

  • From Mary at 2/5/11 4:26 PM
    • Just want to make sure this would record on a 90min. tape, both sides without needing to manually turn the tape and without pause. Thanks.
    • Hi Mary, when it comes to the end of one side of the cassette tape, you do need to manually turn the tape over.

  • From Brenda at 3/13/11 11:56 PM
    • Will this work on a cordless phone?
    • Hi Brenda, yes, you just plug the telephone recorder into any wall jack and it will even record a cordless phone that has the phone base plugged into a different jack.

  • From Sherri at 3/29/11 3:25 PM
    • Can this recorder be used with a cordless phone?
    • Hi Sherri, yes, it works with cordless phones because it plugs into the wall jack and not the actual phone.
    • Do you find this question helpful?  Yes   No
  • From Rhandy at 4/19/11 11:56 PM
    • Do you need more than one phone jack in your home or can your phone base be plugged into this unit?
    • Hi Rhandy, you don't need to have more than one phone jack. If you only have one jack available then what you can do is use a 1-to-2 splitter so you will be able to plug both the recorder and the phone base into the same wall jack. Just add a note to us in the comment section when you're in the checkout to purchase this recorder that you'd like a splitter and we'll include one for free for you.

  • From jeanie at 4/21/11 1:18 AM
    • what is the longest time it can record. Do you listen to the conversation from the recorder itself.
    • Hi Jeanie, it will record for whatever the length of cassette tape you're using is. Or, if you switch the switch on the back to "slow" mode, then it will double the time of the tape. Yes, you can listen to the conversation right from the recorder itself either through the speaker or you can plug earphones into it if you wish.

  • From Cindy at 7/13/11 11:15 AM
    • Does this recorder make a click or beep at the beginning or end of the call when set in spy mode?
    • Hi Cindy, no there is not any clicks or beeps heard on the phone when it starts or stops recording. The only noise would be if it gets to the end of the tape and someone is in the same room of the machine, they may hear the sound of the record buttons popping back up.

  • From B. Alert at 10/30/11 9:01 PM
    • Can the tape containing the recorded conversation be removed and played back on another cassette player if desired?
    • Hello, yes, the phone recording tape can be played back on another cassette player as long as you have the recorder set to 'Normal' recording speed. The feature on the recorder that 'doubles' the recording time is the 'Slow' recording speed setting. If you have it set to 'Slow' speed, then you would not be able to play back on another cassette player because it's not at normal speed. On Slow setting, you would need to listen from the recorder. So just be sure you have the switch on the back set on 'Normal' recording speed, and you will be able to play back on anther cassette player.
