If you are looking for a phone call recorder that records in very high digital quality, then this one is for you. It does telephone recording in Linear PCM (WAV) format that is equivalent to CD quality. Or, if you want to select a lower quality recording level to save on memory space, you can also select MP3 format.
This phone call recorder has 2GB of internal memory and also has a micro SD card expansion slot that can take up to a 16GB SD card. You can record phone calls and then either listen to them directly from the recorder, or you can transfer the files to your PC or MAC computer. You can save the phone recording files to the removable SD card, and then easily transport or upload the files to any computer. There is no software needed because it records in WAV or MP3 format so you can use the program that comes standard on the computer.

- I see this device comes with a AC Power Adapter. This means I can plug the device directly into the wall without the need to use the batteries right?

- Can it be used with a cell phone?
- Hi Alex, yes it comes with a universal cell phone recording adapter. The way it works is one end of it is a plug and the other end of it is an earpiece. You put the plug into the recorder, and the ear piece in your ear. Then, you hold your cell phone up to that same ear and have your cell phone conversation as usual. (It doesn't actually even plug into the cell phone, so it's universal and will work with all brands.) There's a built in microphone in the ear piece that records both sides of the conversation.

- This comes with a USB cable. What is the cable used for? Can I plug it into the computer to transfer files directly? That would be easier than using the SD card.
- Hi Ingrid. Yes, it comes with a USB cable and that is exactly what it is for; to transfer files to your PC. You don't even need to use the SD card functionality if you don't want to; you can just record to the internal memory. Then if you want to transfer the recording from the internal memory to your PC, you just use the included USB cable.

- Can the recording be transfered to a MAC and e mailed ?
- Hi Lorena, with the DDR-5300 you can record either to the internal memory or to an SD card (sold separately). If you record to an SD card, then yes you can pop out the card and pop it into your Mac and open it in iTunes, or email it or whatever you want to do with it.
